April 6, 2020 Employee Notice

Notice of Updated Stay at Home April 6th, 2020

As you know, on March 22, 2020, at the direction of Ohio Governor DeWine, the Ohio Department of Health issued a statewide “Stay at Home” order, which is effective March 23, 2020 and was to end on the 6th of April.  Since then there has been a new order put in place.  This new order is dated April 6, 2020 at midnight until May 1st, 2020. The order commands all Ohio residents to stay in their homes and to leave only for essential trips like the grocery store, pharmacy or essential work. In defining essential work, the order expressly includes “manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain for critical products and industries,” such as the steel and steel products industries, as well as steel and aluminum milling industries.

Because we make essential products for the steel industry, you are a worker needed for the essential infrastructure during this period, and you are permitted to continue working and commuting to and from the worksite. As such, we expect you to report to work tomorrow at your regularly scheduled time.

  1. Essential Businesses and Operations. For the purposes of this Order, Essential Businesses and Operations means Healthcare and Public Health Operations, Human Services Operations, Essential Governmental Functions, and Essential Infrastructure, and the following:
